China’s Roadlink International Trading Limited receives strategic investment for autonomous driving technology

Shenzhen, China /  30th May, 2016 / - Roadlink International Trading Limited, a China-based technology startup developing innovative autonomous driving technology, today announced it had received a strategic investment from a local venture capital group and other financial backers in Shanghai. 


The investment will drive further innovation and expansion of Roadlink International Trading Limited's research and development division. The company did not disclose the size of the investment, but local sources have confirmed the amount was substantial. 


Roadlink International Trading Limited is developing autonomous vehicle technology that will help to make roads safer. The company's technology will play a critical role in preventing road accidents in a world where driver error is responsible for 94% of all accidents.

It will make decisions in congested urban environments and make quick intelligible judgments in other new and challenging situations. 


Autonomous vehicles have the potential to save lives by reducing road accidents caused by tiredness, distraction, failure to interpret the surroundings correctly, overly aggressive driving, and other common mistakes.


In recent years, self-driving cars have received a lot of attention and discussion. While it is recognized that a number of technological and regulatory challenges need to be solved, the global adoption of self-driving vehicles over the next five years is widely considered a foregone conclusion.
