Roadlink International Trading Limited aims for market leadership within autonomous driving technology
Shenzhen, China / 1st January, 2017 / - China-based technology startup Roadlink International Trading Limited, on Tuesday, announced its aim to become the market leader in the autonomous driving technology industry.
An autonomous vehicle is a vehicle that can sense its surroundings and operate without the need for human intervention. At no point is a human passenger required to assume control of the car, nor is a human passenger needed to be present in the vehicle at all. A fully autonomous vehicle can go everywhere a traditional car can and perform everything a skilled human driver can.
Roadlink International Trading Limited was founded in 2016 with the primary mission to develop AI-powered autonomous driving technology that combines with self-driving vehicle systems to make autonomous driving a reality. The company's platform will incorporate Level 5 autonomous vehicle intelligence at a reduced cost to meet vehicle manufacturer needs.
"We believe that autonomous vehicles will make up 75% of the traffic stream by 2040," said Lei Peng, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Roadlink International Trading Limited. "We aim to gain a market leadership position in the field of autonomous driving by moving beyond concepts and pioneering a technology that ensures safety and boosts customer confidence in self-driving cars," he added.
Although not new in theory, the concept of autonomous driving or the self-driving car continues to gain momentum as electronics, robotics, and computing power improves.
"The autonomous driving revolution will completely transform how modern infrastructure operates, and in turn, it will generate limitless opportunities for the world's smart cities of tomorrow," continued Peng. "We will take the time to understand true consumer values and then collaborate with multiple industry partners to develop the technology and infrastructure necessary for a safe, secure driving experience that inspires consumer confidence."
